We have been collaborating as a network of ministries since the early 2000’s with 16 campus ministry expressions at that time. Over the years, efforts were made to connect these ministries in developing an emerging consensus of who we are, what we are, and how to do what God is calling us to do. Our network began in the formation of a national campus Guiding Group where key leaders in campus ministry met to share their insight and experience in developing something on a national scale. It is this cooperation and partnership that gives SERVE Campus Network its multi-dimensional approach to campus ministry.

By 2010 our presence on Canadian post-secondary campuses had increased with several new ministry expressions. In June 2015 over 50 campus ministers from nearly 40 campuses met for our first national Summit. In many ways, this was the tangible expression of a movement in which we heard and received the challenge to reach every viable campus in our nation for Christ by whatever appropriate means, as the Spirit enables us.

This only begins to tell the story of the exciting things that are happening across the country and the people who are leading this work. What it does indicate is that we are diverse and growing. We have the desire to obey the Great Commission in making disciples of Christ on the campuses of our nation. And we have a variety of innovative models with which to do it.
