Hearing the “Go” Command Led Us to Kenya

We’re the Duggans, a global worker family in Kisumu, Kenya! There are six people in our family: Jamie, Misty, Kayleigh (16), Kaleb (13), Judie (11) and Lucas (8). We also have six pets in our family. Shadow and Echo are our playful dogs. Milky and Cocoa are our mischievous cats. Emerald and Rainbow are our chirping birds. We love animals, and we especially LOVE KIDS!

God found both myself (Misty) and Jamie at a young age. We were both five years old when we became Christians. We served God with our whole hearts and always did our best to follow Him and not make wrong choices. We lived that way, seeking after God for our whole lives, and continue to teach our four children to do the same. God loves, cares for and hears children. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:12: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” I believe that when God sees a child living true and faithful to Him for many years, He learns to trust that child. He says, ‘Now that’s a child I can use!’ And He begins to train and teach that child. If we let God mold and shape us like clay, we can become all that He called us to be when we are grow up.
