Celebrating Two Years in Honduras from Kathy Mizen

731 days ago I landed here in Honduras… wow!

The last two years have literally flown by and if I’m honest, it seems like I have been here much longer, in a good way. My journey has been a roller-coaster ride since the day I arrived. It did not start out as I had expected, as I took on a role with more responsibility within in a month of being here. Within one year, I took on even more responsibility.

Through this journey God has proven himself faithful to me every step of the way and I’ve learned to hold on tight when I see another bump or curve coming.

I can look back over these past two years and smile and be grateful for all that God has done. Even in the ‘down times’ God has watched over me and surrounded me with a strong support system. They say that trials just make you stronger, and I have to admit it has. God has stretched and grown me in ways I would never have imagined when I first boarded the plane for Honduras.
