Looking for something for your “church-at-home” setting as you create young disciples of Christ? Or perhaps you are meeting face-to-face now in a local church context, but looking for something different for your teaching times. Consider this new resource created during this pandemic season by one of our PAOC churches, Christian Life Assembly in Langley, BC.

This series, entitled, “WHO IS JESUS?” is a video-based curriculum that walks children through nine lessons where a curious Nick O’Demus, and his sidekick Maggie Dalene, discover that Jesus is our Leader, Teacher, Miracle Worker, Healer, King, Servant, Saviour, Risen Lord, and Friend. This series leads children through Easter with five episodes that focus on the last week of Jesus’ life.

Who Is Jesus? provides a free, downloadable video for at-home use by parents or grandparents or for viewing in a local church children’s ministry setting. Curriculum includes weekly video segments, worship, large group and small group lessons, and a bonus Good Friday lesson. All of this is downloadable for free at www.kidschurchlibrary.com, a new online website created by the Mission Canada Children’s Guiding Group, together with our BC/Yukon district.

Be creative and host a watch party online as you gather your children and their friends (and families) together. Let’s expand our reach to share this upcoming Easter season with those who may not be comfortable or ready to enter the doors of a local church. Doing ministry a little different as we come out of a pandemic season can have amazing results and can start all kinds of Christ-centred discussions and families making decisions to follow Jesus, the One who laid down His life for us all!

To follow the Easter calendar, this Who Is Jesus? teaching resource is best presented starting the week of March 6 and going through to April 24, 2022.  

But it can be used any time of the year to help kids come to know who Jesus is.
