Location: Thailand, Southeast Asia
Ministry Focus: Since 2014, Yves and Francoise Michaud have lived in the mountainous part of northern Thailand. They partner with the Fellowship Gospel Assemblies of Thailand and church planters working in HillTribe villages. They also participate in the care and evangelization of ChildCARE Plus sponsored children who live at Abundant Love Children’s Home, during the Thai school year. Their desire is to encourage and help local pastors live out their vision and reach their goals. Their strategy is to assist wherever the local Thai church needs them. Yves and Francoise hope to strengthen the work that has already been done by national pastors and nurture a new generation of Hill Tribe Christians who will transform their communities for Christ.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray that God will send the right teams of new labourers to join in the vision.
- Pray that God will inspire home based prayer groups and intercessors to pray for anointing and fruit in the ministries of Thai church planters.

I preached at my graduation ceremony from the Institut Biblique Bérée (IBB) which was held at Le Centre Évangélique church in Montreal in 1988 (today Gospelvie). The message speaks of the "beauty of missionary work". My first steps towards International Missions. In 1989, while working for the Correctional Service of Canada, I had an opportunity to go on a Mission to Haiti under the aegis of the United Nations. My wife, Françoise, in all her wisdom told me that we had two young children at home and we had responsibilities in Quebec, but that one day, when we retired, we could go help a missionary overseas. In 2009, I was evaluated and accepted at the different administrative levels of the Correctional Service of Canada in order to work under UNSTAMIH (United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti), but the 2010 earthquake (250,000 dead) prevented me from leaving Quebec. Finally, it was in 2013 that we had our call to work in Thailand.
