TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: My vision is to see Villages of Hope Africa (VOH) children grow up with God-given hope and embrace adulthood as contributing members of society.
MINISTRY FOCUS: In sub-Saharan Africa, millions of children have no access to education, or their parents don’t have the means to send their children to school. Without proper education and other essentials like nutrition and healthcare, little hope exists for many children in this region of the world.
To help respond to this need, I serve as VOH's director of operations for all ten of our centres, in five countries: Burundi, Malawi, Tanzania. Zambia and Zimbabwe. I seek to ensure we maintain sound financial accountability and develop effective programs and strategies, so that all the children who come to VOH centres receive the highest quality care possible and grow up knowing God loves them.
I’m thankful to be part of VOH Africa’s mission to offer holistic (emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual) care to more than 7,000 children. We provide them with education, nutrition, and healthcare, while introducing them to the One who can offer hope for all eternity—Jesus Christ.
MINISTRY HISTORY: Having been called to missions from a young girl onward, I graduated from seminary, embarked on several short-term mission trips, and worked for over 20 years at World Vision Canada as a marketing director. In 2019, God opened the door for me to serve with Villages of Hope Africa, first on a one-year assignment. Then sensing His call to transition to a full-time role, I became a global worker in 2020 and am currently based in Mwanza, Tanzania.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
For God to transform the lives of many more VOH children as they experience His love for them.
For God to fill our VOH staff with His wisdom and creativity to implement life-changing programs for the children with our care.
For God to continue to guide me, use me for His kingdom work, and help me take one day at time.
