Ministry Location: Southeast Asia
Ministry Focus: K and A, along with their daughter I, are serving in a sensitive and unreached context in Southeast Asia that has traditionally been closed and hostile to the gospel. The country they call home has more than 95 million people, but less than 2% are evangelical Christians and the church continues to face heavy persecution from local and government authorities. Despite this grim reality, the faith of the local church is still strong! This family is currently living in a major urban city of some 13 million people and is partnering with national believers to help equip young leaders to enable the church to become a bridge to local communities through development projects, ESL outreach and new church plants.
Ministry History: K and A have been passionate about missions for many years. They met at Bible College and their desire to live and work overseas is what first brought them together. After graduating with theology degrees, they lived and worked in Bangkok, Thailand for a year as mid-term global workers with the PAOC. For the next five years, K was the Director of one-year missions and discipleship program at Vanguard College, while A worked for several Christian and missions-based organizations. They both have extensive short-term missions experience and Masters-level educations in Development and Intercultural Communication.
