OUR TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: Our passion is to mentor youth and train them for future employment, within underprivileged communities in Guyana, while also providing them a safe space to learn about Jesus’ love.  

OUR MINISTRY FOCUS:  In 2023, Guyana had the second highest suicide rate in the world. A high percentage of that suicide rate is of Guyanese youth. Sadly, many Guyanese youth are struggling with hopelessness, fear of failure, and lack of motivation, all of which are driving them to substance abuse and eventually suicide. 

So, we are more determined than ever to build Christ-centered relationships with these families and lead them out of hopelessness. I (Amar) am already utilizing my 30-year automotive experience to teach the youth automotive advance technology at my Missions’ Automotive Technology Training Centre (MATT). I (Nadi) am investing in the lives of many women, as a mentor and a trusted friend, to help them realize their God-given potential. 

Alongside of global workers Colin and Dorselie Gittens, we are running a Saturday morning Kids’ Club where we teach over 40 children Bible stories while discipling them. 

YOUR PARTNERSHIP: You will help the youth in underprivileged communities throughout Guyana learn necessary skills while finding hope in Jesus. 

OUR MINISTRY HISTORY: I (Amar) worked for Toyota Canada for 30 years in various roles from a master technician to technical trainer to field warranty consultant. I (Nadi) chose to stay at home and raise our two children. I have always been involved in various ministries over the years at our home church, Cedarview Community Church, in Newmarket, Ontario. I have also helped at a homeless shelter in our community. Over the years, we have both led seven short term missions’ trips to Romania, Cambodia, Calcutta and Chennai, India, Kenya, Zambia, and Siberia. We are also grandparents of two wonderful grandboys. 

PRAYER REQUESTS: 

• For God to infuse hope into the hearts of the youth battling mental illness. 

• For God to use our ministry to effectively deliver skills training and mentorship to the youth. 

• For God to keep us safe as we travel the dangerous roadways in Guyana.
