LOCATION: Cuba
MY TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: My vision is to faithfully serve the Cuban church that continues to grow, despite the constant challenges they face, while also caring for many elderly Cubans who feel lost and forgotten.
MY MINISTRY FOCUS: My main focus is helping the Cuban church grow in the knowledge of God’s Word, especially the words of the New Testament within the original Greek. I also mentor and encourage pastors and professors as they seek to pass on their knowledge of how to faithfully live out God’s Word to their people.
I seek to minister to a number of elderly Cubans who suffer from significant food insecurity, caring for their physical needs while seeking to offer them eternal hope and comfort. This has resulted in a number of these elderly people coming to faith in God.
Additionally, I’m involved in setting up small businesses, in order to increase the economic output of various individuals, to benefit the large community as a whole.
YOUR PARTNERSHIP: You will help more Cuban people be introduced to the hope of God that will be life-changing for many.
MY MINISTRY HISTORY: After beginning Bible college, in 2001, I took my first short-term missions’ trip to Cuba. While there, God clearly called me to continue ministering to this island nation. Despite full-time ministry in Cuba being entirely restricted, God has miraculously opened the doors for me to live and minister here! Several years later, God brought Alberto into my life, and we ministered together for the next 15 years. Sadly, Alberto passed away in 2021. I, too, was not expected to survive a Covid coma of almost 8 weeks; however, God in His mercy restored me, and I returned to Cuba to serve. My goal is to passionately continue to live out our dream to serve the elderly of Cuba.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
For God to continue shine His light and love to so many all throughout Cuba, who often feel extreme hopelessness due to their circumstances.
For God to continue to use me to minister to as many people as I can, serving a people that I love so dearly and have given myself to.
For God to grant me His supernatural strength to serve, despite my increasing physical limitations.
