Stephen Shew

Stephen was elected to the General Executive in 2012 and currently serves on the Finance and Audit Committees. Recently he has been assisting the Theological Study Commission with their review and refreshing of the Statement of Fundamental and Essential Truths. He worships at Woodvale Pentecostal Church in Ottawa, and works with young adults. At Woodvale, he has been part of policy development, building project financing, human resources, constitution and incorporation matters, and music ministry.

Stephen works in telecommunications in the area of international standards. His roles have included management and software development. As an inventor, he has over twenty granted patents. He is currently a Rapporteur in the International Telecommunications Union standards body. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Carleton University and an MSc. from the University of Toronto.

Stephen is married to Renée and they have three daughters; all family members are actively involved at Woodvale.
