Memo to PAOC district prayer coordinators:

Greetings friends,

You may be aware that I serve as the president of the Pentecostal Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA). This group has member ministries and denominations that serve 40+ million constituents in North America including the PAOC.

Racial relations/unity has been at the core of the PCCNA since it reformed itself in 1994 following “The Memphis Miracle,” where repentance, brokenness, and reconciliation took place between the leaders of the historically Black and White Pentecostal denominations. There has been ebbs and flows of emphasis since then but the focus of our commissions including race relations/unity, prayer, church health, discipleship, evangelism, and Next Gen remain important focuses of this group as we “demonstrate unity in the power of the Spirit.”

As you will note, the annual PCCNA conference, which has always been an onsite event, is an online only event this year. This is great as it gives far more opportunity for key leaders in the member organizations to connect with the conference plenaries and commission meetings.

As a member of the PAOC district prayer co-ordinators group I am asking you to seriously consider registering for the free conference (click here). On Wednesday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m. EST the Prayer Commission and other commissions are having their Zoom meeting online, and I indicated to the commission chairs, that they should expect a larger group including members from Canada. There is a place to indicate you will attend the prayer commission or another of your choice when registering.

The conference on Thursday, March 4, has three concise plenaries with the first session at 1:45 p.m. EST having a Christian Unity and Race Relations Focus as presented by those commissions. After a break from Zoom the 3:45 p.m. session will focus on inter-generational ministry with input from the Women in Ministry commission, and the Next Gen cohort that has been meeting for the past three years. The final session at 6:45 p.m. EST broadens to deal with church health including vitalization, evangelism, and discipleship. Prayer responses are integrated into each plenary.

Thanks for responding as able. We would be incredibly grateful for your participation.

The Lord reigns!
