Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

HURRICANE LAURA
Please pray for the hundreds of thousands of people impacted by Hurricane Laura in the United States. Pray for comfort and peace, and that food, water, and aid supplies will get to where they are needed, and that power will be restored. Pray that those who need medical attention will receive it quickly, and for strength and wisdom for all of the first responders. Pray also for wisdom for government authorities in responding to people’s needs, and that many people will have opportunities to hear and receive the gospel.

ALBERTA & NORTHWEST TERRITORIES DISTRICT
The Church Vitalization Virtual Summit, designed to help Canadian churches and denominations go from plateaued and declining to thriving in their communities, is being held this week (September 1 to 3). Pray that everyone attending will feel spiritually refreshed and experience continued inspiration from God through what they learn. Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to them and give them a renewed vision on how to reach their communities for Christ through their churches. As a result, may these prevailing churches across our nation turn the tide of Christian influence in Canada. Pray also for the speakers as they prepare for this event, and for effective performance of the technology being used.

Joy Callahan
MOZAMBIQUE
Pray God’s favour for Joy as she works towards establishing good relationships and connections with the community she serves. May God also bless Joy with wisdom, protection and health as she ministers in Mozambique.

WORLDWIDE
Please continue to pray for God’s intervention in the spread of the coronavirus, which has infected more than 25,085,685, and killed nearly 843,930 people around the world.1 Pray for healing for those stricken with COVID-19, and comfort for those whose loved ones have passed away. May God continually strengthen and protect frontline and essential workers. Pray that, as many countries are easing some restrictions, their economies will respond well, and there will not be a second wave of the virus. Pray for protection and provision for people in developing countries who are malnourished and more vulnerable to this disease. Pray also for PAOC global workers who are remaining in the countries where they have been called to minister, and who are continuing to serve their communities with excellence during this global pandemic.
