PAOC Prayer - Your Update for the Week of April 6, 2020

WORLDWIDE
Pray for God’s continual intervention to stop the spread of the coronavirus which is currently impacting people around the world. Almost 63,000 people have died of COVID-19, with nearly 1,134,000 people infected. Pray for healing for those who are suffering from the virus, and comfort for people who have lost loved ones. Pray for the spread of the virus to come under control in Canada. Pray especially for Quebec, where there are almost 8,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 94 people have died. Pray that first responders and all essential workers will be protected from becoming ill. May the negative economic impact on all businesses and communities be alleviated. Pray for the people in developing countries who are already malnourished and vulnerable to this spreading disease. Pray that God will protect everyone, including people in these areas, from getting sick. Pray also that, throughout this crisis, the gospel will have many chances to spread and that people will turn to Christ, and rely on Him for peace and provision.


David & Julie Wood
VANUATU
Pray that the Lord would guide, direct, strengthen, and sustain David and Julie, and bless them with wisdom as they work in various ministry settings. Pray that the Lord will pour out His Spirit throughout Vanuatu, and that many would find Jesus as their personal Saviour, and would seek to follow Him daily. Pray that the Lord would continue to bring more leaders to assist David and Julie in discipleship and training. Pray also for everyone affected by the cyclone which struck Vanuatu on Monday (April 6), which was already under a state of emergency due to the coronavirus crisis.

Pray that God will bless Bonita and Alberto with strength and provision for the work that they are doing in Cuba. Pray for the relationships they have with the students and professors they are serving with. Pray also for protection for the other projects that they are involved in.
