Prelude to Pentecost: An Invitation for May 16
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place…” (Acts 2:1)
To my colleagues and ministry partners:
Join us for “Prelude to Pentecost,” a National Prayer Gathering being held online on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. EDT/4:00-5:00 p.m. PDT. Our Lord has linked a number of Pentecostal/Charismatic denominations, networks, and ministries with a shared vision for a profound work of the Spirit within Canada. These groups have developed a deep sense of partnership through their shared involvement within the Pentecostal World Fellowship, Empowered 21 and the Pentecostal/Charismatic churches of North America (PCCNA).
Now as we approach Pentecost 2021 on May 23, we are calling on you to join us in unity in our own national “upper room” so that in shared prayer we can experience the Spirit’s empowering work in our lives, families, churches, ministries and communities from sea to sea. Persons from the various partner ministries will be leading us in prayer with these focuses.
In order to promote the event as widely as possible, we encourage you to download these resources for your websites, email blasts and social media platforms. (Note to social media administrators: Please be reminded that when using graphics for Facebook or Twitter you will also need to include a live link in your text or include the link in your bio on Instagram.) You can direct your audience to http://paoc.org/online where the event can be viewed.
Because multiple groups are represented and participating in the event, the primary language will be English, with prayers offered in a variety of languages.
No registration is required. Simply visit http://paoc.org/online on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. EDT/4:00-5:00 p.m. PDT. We look forward to praying together at that time.
David Wells,
General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada
