LOCATION: Yamanashi, Japan
MINISTRY FOCUS: My ministry focuses on building relationships with Japanese junior and senior high school students and teachers, serving as a bridge between them and the local church. I also support the local pastors and congregation, contributing to ministry efforts both on Sundays and throughout the week.
My desire is to support the local body of believers in any way I can, seizing opportunities the Lord provides and walking alongside those He places in my life on their spiritual journey.
MINISTRY HISTORY: After entering Vanguard College in 2013, God opened numerous doors for me to serve. During my first year, I participated in a short-term mission trip to East and Southeast Asia. As I progressed through school and sought clarity in my calling, I gained valuable experience serving in a variety of ministries in Canada and abroad, including an Immigrant Support Centre and Camp Nakamun.
In 2019, God led me to Japan, where I have been privileged to serve and continue pursuing His calling for my life. My time here has been a journey of drawing closer to Him and aligning with His will.
PRAYER REQUESTS
- For God’s guidance and support: That He would bring people into my life to walk alongside me in ministry and everyday life here in Japan.
- For my language learning journey: God has been gracious in helping me so far, but I seek to continue growing in fluency, especially in Christian Japanese, so I can serve the local church more effectively.
- For the local church in Japan: Pray that God would ignite a passion in believers’ hearts to reach the lost, and that young people would be drawn to Him. Japan has very few believers, and the majority of the Christian population is elderly.
