Ministry Focus: With less than 0.1% of the population professing to be born again Christians, Slovenia is one of the most unreached countries in Europe. Luka and Cassandra are church planting in areas of Slovenia that currently do not have evangelical churches. Luka is the senior pastor of the Pentecostal church plant in Ptuj, the oldest city in Slovenia. They desire to see church growth and for unreached people to find hope and salvation in Christ. They want to equip and lead people to impact the nation through the work of the Holy Spirit. Luka and Cassandra are also very involved in youth and young adult ministry and started an English club outreach ministry in Ptuj to reach kids and youth through teaching English.
Ministry History: Luka left Slovenia in 2010 to study pastoral theology at Vanguard College in Edmonton, Alberta. Before moving back to Slovenia, Luka and Cassandra were involved in youth and young adult ministry for four years in Edmonton. In 2015, after finishing their education in Canada, Luka and Cassandra moved to Murska Sobota, Slovenia, where Luka served as a youth and associate pastor. In 2017, they moved to Ptuj to help lead the newest church plant in the Slovenian Pentecostal movement. In 2019, Luka became the senior pastor of the church plant in Ptuj, which in the last couple years has seen growth. Luka and Cassandra have also been involved in leading and planning regional youth and young adult camps and events.
