Ministry Focus: John and Donna are excited about sharing their gifts and ministry experience with church leaders, Bible College students, and local congregations. With seasoned giftings in leadership and teaching, the Drisners parter with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) to minister in three primary locations; 1 – Pan Africa Christian College in Zimbabwe, 2 – Next Step Bible College in Estonia, and 3 – the Ebenezer Instituo de Formacion Ministerial and Iglesia Libertad in the Baja, Mexico. They are passionate about using this season of life to help raise up new leaders as well as supporting those already serving by building on-going relationships through service, teaching, and prayer.
Ministry History: After 48 years of ministry, Pastors John and Donna, both ordained ministers with the PAOC, stepped aside from full-time local church leadership in the spring of 2024.
John has also served in various positions of leadership that have included serving as SK District Superintendent, Adjunct Faculty at Horizon College and Seminary since 2002, Interim President of Horizon College and Seminary, Chair of the Board of Horizon College and Seminary, co-chair of the Educational Standard Committee of the PAOC. He presently serves as Prayer Coordinator for the Saskatchewan District of the PAOC.
Donna is a gifted teacher who uses humour to her advantage. Along with teaching preschool she has composed and taught many women's group bible studies. She has often been invited to teach at women's events as well as leading two short term overseas mission teams. She is an awesome Mom, Gramma, and a great friend to many.
Over their years of pastoral ministry the Drisners have experienced many fruitful opportunities both overseas and at home. More recently they have created a daily Bible Devotional podcast that is posted on Facebook daily. STRENGTH FOR THE DAY enables them to teach and encourage up to 800 plus followers Monday through Friday.
Ministry Objectives:
- To teach, encourage, and equip the next generation of Bible College students with practical Biblical instruction and theological insight.
- To assist and encourage local church ministries and pastors with through small group instruction and seminars.
- To be listening ears and kind voices.
