Ministry History: Fred and Valerie have ministered together and individually in a number of global equipping opportunities. Since 2011, they have travelled together to L’viv Theological Seminary in Ukraine twice, Bethany Slavic Missionary Bible College in Sacramento, California twice and visited seven of the PAOC partner Bible Colleges in India.
Ministry Focus: Fred, holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in homiletics from Gordon Conwell Seminary in the USA. He is currently pastoring at Elim Pentecostal Church in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Fred loves to ignite a flame within students for expository preaching. Fred has taught preaching at Tyndale Theological Seminary in Toronto as Adjunct Professor of Preaching since 1999. He has also written a course on preaching being offered through the Ministry Essentials Training Program (GlobalEd).
Valerie, holds an MBA in International Management, a Masters of Theological Studies and is a licenced minister with the PAOC. Her passion is to bring people together to fully participate in the mission of God. Valerie has worked on the GlobalEd team since 2011 (PAOC International Missions) by managing the Timothy Fund Scholarship program, assisting global volunteers to teach at our partner colleges and mobilizing the Canadian church through the Kairos course on the mission of God.
Currently, funds are needed to cover travel expenses for Valerie’s work within Canada and to conduct another site visit to colleges in Africa and Southeast Asia. Your partnership would be greatly appreciated!
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for the gospel to impact Ukraine. With over 800 students at LTS and other colleges around the country, pray that the gospel will penetrate this post-Soviet country through these well-equipped workers.
- Pray for the francophone church globally to effectively train workers for France, Quebec and the many francophone countries of northern Africa, where many unreached people groups live.
- Pray that the Kairos course will be effectively used to mobilize the Canadian church to be on mission with God, and for Valerie as she seeks to engage PAOC churches, leaders and individuals toward greater impact using this course.
