Location: Brazzaville, Congo

Ministry Focus:  Freddy and Colette have a heart to help the vulnerable children of Brazzaville, Congo. Their desire is to find a home/family for children who do not have one and feed, clothe, educate, and provide health care to children in need.

Ministry History: Since the beginning of their marriage in 2002, Freddy and Colette have dreamed of ministering to vulnerable children in the Congo.  This dream grew in their hearts for nearly 20 years before beginning to take form this past year. 

Freddy, originally from the Congo, has called Canada home since 1993.  He has a master’s degree in pastoral counselling from the University of Sherbrooke and has been in pastoral ministry his whole life.  Youth pastor, then an administrative pastor in Montréal, director of his own transition home and senior pastor in Sherbrooke, he is now back in Montréal as lead pastor at Gospelvie Church.  He also teaches counselling courses at Quebec Bible Institute (Institut Biblique du Québec). In addition, he offers his counselling services to individuals as a member of the Canadian Association of Psycho-Spiritual workers.

Colette, originally from Saskatchewan, always knew that ministry would be a big part of her life.  After two years of Bible college and a diploma in Business Accounting, she found herself working at a mission organization called LifeForce, where she did short-term missions to Estonia, Ghana and Brazil.  It was then that God called Colette to move to Montréal to learn French, with the intention of returning to do missionary work in Africa.  Of course, it was then that Colette met Freddy and the rest is history!  Colette has always been involved in worship ministry, has a heart for missions and is gifted in administration and accounting.  She is presently the office manager for Gospelvie church in Montreal.

Freddy and Colette are the proud parents of two beautiful teenage daughters, Jessica, 17, and Olivia, 15.

In 2020 Freddy and Colette began the Global Workers training program with the PAOC to take steps towards seeing their dream of working with vulnerable children in the Congo a reality.

• for finances and for wisdom and discernment to establish good partnerships on the field;
• for God’s favour and protection.
