Project Scope: Ministry Development Centre - Phase 1
Description: The Ministry Development Centre (MDC) Phase 1 is to be built on PAOC-owned property on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. It is a sustainable project thoughtfully designed to permanently serve and impact the island of Hispaniola through hosting volunteer teams, workshops and training conferences. The MDC will benefit the evangelical churches by being available for church events and retreat, and being a centre of operations and staging area for humanitarian donation distribution and community development projects. The total cost for Phase 1 is approximately $925,000 (Canadian funds) which will include dorm buildings a kitchen-dining hall complex, a multi-use small conference and meeting area, and a maintenance, storage, donations distribution and garage complex.
The MDC Phase 1 is on schedule for completion by the fall of 2022.
Currently PAOC ministries and Global Workers on the ground in the DR and Haiti are impacting more than 1000 evangelical congregations, hundreds of communities, and over 18 evangelical denominations. The MDC will markedly increase capacity to provide teaching, training, and material resources to the growing evangelical church on the island, and to help train and send national missionaries cross-culturally. The project is designed to be managed by a joint committee comprised of local pastoral ministerial groups and PAOC Global workers to ensure maximum effectiveness for the glory of Jesus Christ.
Your donations towards this centre will be helping equip and empower the pastors and churches of the Dominican Republic and Haiti to fulfill their God-given visions and impact their nations and the nations of the world in Jesus’ name.
We thank God that with the help of generous donors we have been able to raise $350,000 (Canadian funds) as of May, 2021.
