Location: Costa Rica
Ministry Focus: After almost a combined 35 years of ministry and emergency services preparation, Dave and Monica want to take all that God has taught them to others. Working with local indigenous community pastors in Costa Rica and an alignment with OLA Ministries already in place, Dave and Monica will be working to provide pastoral care and equipping to local pastors and ministries. Assisting with teams from Canada and the US, Dave and Monica will be involved with relational ministry, construction projects, kids ministry and pastoral equipping alongside OLA Ministry.
Ministry History: Dave and Monica live in Kitchener, ON, where they both work in the emergency services field. In 2013, Dave completed his BRE in religious education, and as a team, they entered into bi-vocational pastoral work. As they grew in outreach ministry locally, a missional perspective took them to look outside of Canada. Four years ago, Dave and Monica visited Costa Rica and felt a Holy Spirit tug to know more about this beautiful country. Having now met, and come alongside PAOC global workers already located in Costa Rica, they feel it is God timing that they make a stronger commitment to the mission presented before them. Bringing with them a large spectrum of applicable giftings, Dave and Monica are looking for great things from God and the work already started in Costa Rica.
Prayer Requests:
- For wisdom in ministry
- For the grace of their employers to see fit to release them at the times they need to be in Costa Rica
- - For the funds necessary to travel to and from Costa Rica and still be able to maintain their responsibilities
Opportunity to show God's amazing love to friends and family that struggle with understanding why.
