Jerusalem, Ramat Gan, and Be’er Sheva, Israel
For the last 35 years, the PAOC has been at the forefront of the Christian mission to Israel through King of Kings Ministries, based in the Old City of Jerusalem. Now fully indigenized and locally-led, King of Kings is a trusted partner with more than 18 church plants, 22 outreach ministries and is a founding member of the Israel College of the Bible.
In Israel, more than 98% of Hebrew-speaking Israelis have not received the gospel. Additionally, the country is a destination for migrants from across North Africa, Europe, and Asia. The Ethiopian, Chinese and refugee communities come from predominately unreached countries. Our goal is to establish four new churches in Israel among the Hebrew Speaking community in Modi’in, the French and Chinese communities in Jerusalem, the Ethiopian community in Be’er Sheva, and new migrant communities in Ramat Gan.
The PAOC has been to fully fund the establishment of a new church plant in Modi’in to reach young Hebrew and English-speaking families. We ask for the Pattison foundation to partner with us for the Jerusalem, Ramat Gan, and Be’er Shiva church plants. In total, 9,400 Israelis and migrants are expected to be served by these four church plants.
The church plant strategy goes beyond simply facilitating services and programs and includes an emphasis on outreach and social uplift. Each church will conduct a community consultation and needs analysis to establish these programs. This has included soup kitchens, counselling services, and youth education and employment programs in our other successful church plants.
