Ministry Focus: Roy & Avis Rideout are long term PAONL missionaries to Thailand. They live in Chiang Mai where they founded and operate the Agape Home for children. Many of these children have HIV/AIDS. Agape is home to about 100 children who are cared for by hired Thai nationals plus several international volunteers. Emphasis in on good care, good food, and a Christian environment where the children can experience true love and learn to love God and others. As part of their effort to provide for the needs of the children, a village is being built where the children can live in families with Christian Thai parents. A school for the little children, which includes pre-school and kindergarten, has been built on site. The older children attend a government school. Living accommodations are also provided for HIV+ adult women who are ill and have no one to care for them. Project Lek is their village outreach program which provides help to HIV+ children living in desperately poor conditions. With this help the children can attend school and improve their nutrition.
Prayer Requests:
Healing for both children and caregivers.
That the gospel will truly impact the lives of both children and staff.
