LOCATION: Central Asia 

TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: My vision is to see lives transformed in Central Asian nations by supporting new church plants and community outreach initiatives.  

MINISTRY FOCUS: More than 96% of Central Asia’s population has never heard the gospel. This includes almost 400 high-majority Muslim unreached people groups who have little or no access to the gospel. Because of this, churches that exist are often small, ostracized, and in some places outright persecuted. Freedom of religious expression is limited in most countries.  

When I can, I travel to various Central Asia countries, encouraging and strengthening the pastors there. I help them engage in the Great Commission to bring the gospel to the unreached people groups in their region of the world. I often will preach, teach, counsel, and support them in every way possible. I listen to their stories, provide financial support, and at times, organize retreats and seminars on ministry and leadership.  

YOUR IMPACT: You will help train and resource existing church leaders, while creating the means to multiply workers, in order to expand and strengthen God’s kingdom in Central Asia. 

MINISTRY HISTORY: For 16 years, I served as a full-time global worker in Central Asia and Türkiye. I first led a Bible training centre in Kyrgyzstan and helped plant a church in the capital of Bishkek. I and my late wife Cathy then planted a church near Ephesus, Türkiye, now successfully led by a local believer. In 2019, I moved back to Canada and currently serve as Mission Global’s lead care coordinator and as a mobilization associate, caring for many of our global workers and their children. I live in Barrie, Ontario, with my wife MJ.
