LOCATION: Belgium
OUR TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: Our vision is to shape the next generation of leaders and encourage churches to build strong spiritual foundations to advance God’s kingdom in Belgium.
OUR MINISTRY FOCUS: Many evangelical churches throughout Europe are small and struggling. There is a great need to encourage and strengthen these churches and raise up godly, passionate leaders to grow the European church and reach an increasingly secular society for Christ.
In answer to these needs, I (David) teach at two seminaries in Belgium: Continental Theological Seminary in Brussels and Evangelical Theological Faculty in Leuven. I also preach in mostly Belgian churches virtually every Sunday, to encourage and strengthen believers and create a greater sense of spirituality vitality.
As part of our ministry, we also open our home to young men and women from both seminaries to mentor and encourage them in their ministry journey. We seek to model spiritual passion, pastoral effectiveness, and theological rigour.
OUR MINISTRY HISTORY: We both came to faith back in the late 70s as college students. We then attended Master’s College & Seminary and went on to pastor Glad Tidings Church in Sudbury for ten fruitful years. We then moved to Calvary in Cambridge where we pastored for twenty years. Having travelled on mission trips to Zimbabwe, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Romania, we never imagined becoming global workers. However, after completing my (David) Ph.D. at McMaster Divinity College, I was asked to teach a course at Continental Theological Seminary in Brussels. That was 2013. We have been global workers in Brussels since January 2014!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
For God to grant favour upon the students and churches that they would sense His presence in their lives in a new way.
For God to continue to call more students to ministry to reach their communities for Christ.
For God to give us wisdom and guidance to teach, mentor, and disciple well.
