MISSION CANADA NEXT GEN & FAMILIES WORKER
Ministry Location: Ontario
Ministry Focus: Next Gen & Families
With many years of ministry experience both at home and abroad, Aimee is passionate about working with like-minded Christians and sharing God’s love in innovative and creative ways. A resident of Peterborough, Ontario, she uses horses and farm life to connect people to God’s love.
Aimee lived as an overseas missionary for eight years and is used to thinking creatively about evangelism. Her work with a farm-based outreach to an unreached tribe in Angola, Africa convinced her of the effectiveness of using community to introduce people to Jesus. Upon returning to Canada, Aimee was deeply burdened to see many middle-class families who were lonely and struggling, and in an increasingly secular society, are statistically unlikely to connect with a local church. Many Canadians today are dealing with relational crises and mental health challenges, and don’t know where to turn for support.
Aimee sensed God’s calling to create a farm ministry where Christians from the area can work together to invite the unchurched to explore Christian faith in a safe and non-threatening atmosphere. She uses riding lessons, support groups, and farm-sharing to provide community for those who might otherwise have no Christian witness in their lives. The ultimate goal of this ministry is to introduce people to Jesus and then, through connections with local churches, walk with them as they grow in their faith and find a Christian church that they can call home.
