Going To Post-Secondary?

Greetings fellow PAOC credential holders and church leaders,

GREAT NEWS...

In this past school year, 6 NEW CAMPUS MINISTRY EXPRESSIONS have begun and another 3 are ready to kick-off!

Plus, there are 15 NEW CAMPUS WORKERS whom God is raising up for His harvest even during this pandemic season.

We trust that this news excites your hearts as much as it does ours! We do admit that this fall season of post-secondary education before us is different than we have ever seen in years' past. We have been working hard to reposition ourselves for both online and on-site missional opportunities and we anticipate the great things God has in store as we serve Him and follow His lead in the months ahead.

As the new school year is upon us, we need your help to make some connections in order to see more students engaged with a campus ministry and reached for Christ.

Renegotiating Faith, a study done by The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, found that young adults are three times more likely to connect with a new church after moving out of their parents' home if someone from their home church congregation tries to make a connection for them. Similarly, young adults going to post-secondary studies are four times more likely to connect with a Christian campus group if someone from their home church tries to make the connection for them.

Our SERVE campus workers would really appreciate you taking time to share the attached campus map resource with your congregation, students, parents, and church staff. Here are three reasons why:

     1. Because there are 2 million post-secondary students in Canada who need Jesus, Christian community, and discipleship.
     2. Because the Renegotiating Faith stats show that we can have a godly influence on high school graduates who are transitioning to post-secondary education.
     3. The Great Commission commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. God has sent the nations to our Canadian campuses.

This is a unique fall season in that, although most Canadian post-secondary campuses are moving to an online format for instructional purposes, our campus workers will be engaging students both virtually and in person as able. Fall frosh and orientation week events are starting now, and we are excited about the online ways in which we will be relationally engaging with new and returning students, leading Bible studies and discipling students in Christian faith.
