Rev. Paul Martens
Saskatchewan District
After having an encounter with the Lord while attending university, Paul felt called to ministry and graduated from Central Pentecostal College (now Horizon College and Seminary) in 2003. Then, he interned in Winnipeg, Manitoba at Christian Life Assembly, and then went on a short term missions assignment for six months in Zimbabwe to assist with planting Jubilee Christin Centre in Harare. Upon returning to Canada, Paul spent four and a half years in Carman, Manitoba as a youth pastor, and has ministered in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan at Family Church since 2008, serving as a youth and worship pastor until 2020 when he transitioned to the lead role. Paul has served on the Horizon College and Seminary board, in the Saskatchewan District as a presbyter and executive officer as well as on the Eagles Nest Ranch and Living Waters Camp boards. He also currently helps lead two men's camps in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Paul is married to Jill who is a registered nurse, and together they have three amazing kids. Outside of “church life,” Paul is an emergency medical responder, has a small ranch and loves to hunt, fish, hike, quad and basically do anything outdoors and be with his family.
