Some of ERDO’s partners are experiencing higher than usual levels of dengue fever, which in some cases causes death. Please pray that mosquito-borne illnesses would end. Also, according to the United Nations, COVID-19 has the potential to double the number of people suffering from acute hunger to 250 million by the end of 2020. Emergency food and hygiene programs have never been more important. Pray for a favourable response to a recent ERDO appeal that was sent out as they expand their COVID-19 work each week.

Pray for peace as various protests continue to be organized around the world in response to police brutality and institutional racism. Pray for wisdom for government leaders who respond and for continual healing and restoration in the relationships between communities and the police who serve them. Pray that God will grant mutual understanding and co-operation as they work together to create solutions to the problems that communities face. Pray also for the gospel to spread throughout the world, transforming hearts, bringing genuine unity and motivation each person to love their neighbour as themselves.

Laura Benson
Laura recently began ministry to young mothers in pregnancy crisis. Pray that God will grant her wisdom and discernment as she serves. Pray for peace for the women she encounters in her work, and pray that they will experience transformation and provision in their lives. Pray also for Laura’s safety as she serves.

Please continue to pray for God’s intervention in the spread of the coronavirus, which has infected almost 8,993,660, and killed nearly 469,590 people around the world.1 Pray for healing for those infected with COVID-19, and comfort for those whose loved ones have passed away. May God continually strengthen and protect frontline and essential workers. Pray that, as many countries are easing some restrictions, their economies will respond well, and there will not be a second wave of the virus. Pray for protection and provision for people in developing countries who are malnourished and more vulnerable to this disease. Pray also for PAOC global workers who are remaining in the countries where they have been called to minister, and are continuing to serve their communities with excellence during this global pandemic.
