ZIMBABWE

Food insecurity is growing, with an estimated 3.6 million rural Zimbabweans in need of humanitarian assistance—an increase from the 2.3 million between June and September 2019. Widespread drought—which led to a poor 2019 harvest—combined with Zimbabwe’s economic conditions are contributing to low food availability. Rising food prices and high inflation rates that are reducing purchasing power have also followed. Pray that everyone in Zimbabwe will receive the nourishment needed, and for ERDO as they seek to help those who are hungry. Pray that God would bless the area with rain, and for lasting peace in this region. Pray also that more people will turn to the Lord and care for each other as a community.

2020 INITIATIVE

Pray for continued empowerment, focus and unity among all of our PAOC churches, so that we continue to work together towards our shared mission of glorifying God by making disciples everywhere. Pray that God will guide and encourage those who work specifically on church revitalization and multiplication as it relates to the 2020 Initiative. Pray for more volunteers to share the responsibilities that come with forming communities of faith where more Canadians can have access points to the gospel. Pray also for news ways of reaching Canadian communities to be embraced, according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Thomas & Lilliana Spiridigliozzi

ITALY

Pray for Thomas (and his family) as he serves as the national director of Next Level International (NLI) Canada, which seeks to be a voice in Canada to help mobilize people to engage in the mission in Europe. Pray for new project development in Italy, and for increased partnerships with Canadian churches. May God guide Thomas as he leads a church planting initiative in Italy, and trains pastors and leaders throughout the nation. Pray also that God will bless and guide Thomas and Lilliana as they minister.
