Hundreds of Christians have been severely persecuted and killed for their faith in Jesus over the past few months in Nigeria. Pray for strength, perseverance, faith and peace for those impacted, and for spiritual breakthrough in those regions where the gospel is suppressed. Pray for God’s protection over villages facing the threat of continued harassment. Also, on March 13, a building with a school collapsed, killing 20 people. Pray for God to comfort the families and friends of those killed, and for healing for those injured. Pray for opportunities for the gospel to spread, so that many people will find hope in Christ.

Massive floods, caused by Cyclone Idai, devastated Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi this past week. At least 400 people have been killed, with the death toll expected to climb, and thousands of people are still stranded. Pray that God will guide the rescue teams as they search for victims and that aid supplies will get to where they are needed. Pray that God will comfort those in the affected areas, whether they have been injured, lost family and friends, or lost their homes. Pray also that God will grant strength, wisdom and protection for our global workers serving in the region, many people will have opportunities to hear and receive the gospel.

The PAOC Leadership Gathering and Annual General Meeting is happening this week, in Mississauga, Ontario. May God bless all of the groups that are meeting with wisdom, vision and direction for reaching the world for Christ as a Fellowship. Pray that it will be a time of refreshing and encouragement for all those attending. Pray also for the safety of everyone as they travel.

Pray for the youth and young adult pastors and leaders attending the Time Out Conference in Magog, Quebec, from March 29 to 30. As they celebrate what God has done in their ministries, may they be inspired, encouraged and equipped as they connect with other leaders. May God bless them with wisdom and help them to look at their ministries with a fresh perspective. May God also use what they learn to help them grow and partner with Jesus to make an even greater kingdom impact in the lives of youth.
