Re-revised PAOC Prayer Banner

Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

Pray for the country of Haiti, which is experiencing a deepened political and economic crisis. With 85 per cent unemployment for men aged 18-25 years old, there is a lot of simmering anger. There have been ongoing violent protests against the president and his policies, prompting other countries to designate Haiti at a 3 or 4 danger rating and to evacuate their citizens. Pray that peace will reign, for wisdom for government leaders as they work with the community to create economic recovery and stability, and for increased opportunities for the gospel to be shared across the country. Pray also for the continued safety of PAOC global workers in Haiti as they minister and serve those around them. International Missions is checking in daily with our global workers, monitoring the situation and providing member care as needed.

Pray for the volunteers serving in children’s ministry who are participating in En Route, a training day on February 23 at Malvern Christian Assembly in Scarborough, Ontario. Pray that they will be encouraged and their abilities strengthened as they learn how to minister even better to children. May God use what they learn to help them to look at their ministries with a fresh perspective. Pray also that they will build deep connections with each other.

Pray for the youth pastors attending “Youth Pastor Connexus 2019” from February 22 to 23 in Peterborough, Ontario. May they be equipped and empowered as their leadership skills are developed and sharpened. Ask God to inspire and encourage them as they connect with one another and with Him. May God use what they learn to help them grow and partner with Jesus to make an even greater kingdom impact in the lives of youth.

Lance Neubauer

Pray for Lance, a Mission Canada worker, as he engages post-secondary students at Red River College in Winnipeg. Pray that God will reveal to him where he should follow the Spirit’s leading on campus. Pray that students will have open minds and hearts as Lance meets with them and seeks to disciple them in Christ’s ways. Pray for students to develop a hunger for Jesus and a love for God’s Word. Pray especially for those of other faiths that they could see and encounter Jesus for who He really is.
