CANADA—BRITISH COLUMBIA

Please pray for the staff and congregations of Crossroads Community Church, a PAOC church, and Murray United Church in Merritt, B.C., which were damaged by suspicious fires on Friday morning (January 11). Praise God that no one was injured. Pray that God will guide the staff of the churches as they continue their ministries. Pray also that the congregations will sense God’s peace and be encouraged during this difficult time. 

 

CANADA—ONTARIO

A double-decker bus crashed into a bus shelter in Ottawa on Friday afternoon (January 11), which killed three people and injured almost two dozen others. Pray that God will grant comfort and peace to everyone impacted, especially those who have lost friends and family, and those attending our PAOC churches in the region. Pray for physical and emotional healing for the survivors as they recover from their injuries. Pray also for more opportunities for the gospel to be shared, and that God will draw more people to faith in Christ.

 

SASKATCHEWAN DISTRICT

Pray for everyone attending the Prayer and Fasting Retreat at Queen’s House Retreat & Renewal Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, from January 15 to 16. Pray that people will be inspired and encouraged in their prayer lives through their time together. May they feel connected, equipped, and supported in prayer as they pray for each other, and also pray that the Lord’s kingdom would be advanced throughout our fellowship, our communities, and our nation.

 

FRANCE

Pray for the country of France, which is experiencing several weeks of ongoing violent protests against the President and his policies. Pray that peace will reign, for increased opportunities for the gospel to be shared across the country, and for wisdom for government leaders as they work with the community. Pray for an increased spirit of mutual respect, acceptance and understanding among all people living together throughout France. Pray also for Peter and Patricia DeWit, PAOC global workers in France, as they minister and serve those around them.

 

Nelson & Lisa Monteiro

BRAZIL

Pray that God will bless and guide Nelson and Lisa in their ministry. Pray for Brazil to be discipled, that it will be a nation of kingdom influence, and that people throughout Brazil will experience transformation. Pray for divine wisdom in developing training and mentoring programs. Pray also for the safety and protection of Nelson, Lisa and their family as they minister to those around them.
