A 7.5 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami struck Indonesia on Friday (September 28), which left nearly 850 people dead and thousands injured. Hundreds of buildings collapsed or were damaged. Pray that God will comfort all of the people affected, and that He will provide for everyone’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Pray that aid supplies, including food, water, and fuel, will get to where they are needed most and that God will guide the rescue teams as they respond to this crisis. Pray also for opportunities for the gospel to spread, so that many people will find comfort and hope in Christ.

Pray for the thousands of people impacted by the six tornadoes that caused massive damage in the Ottawa and Gatineau region on September 21. Many people were injured, one person fatally, and at least 100 buildings were damaged or destroyed. Pray that God will comfort those in the affected areas, and that God will guide residents as they support one another and begin to rebuild. Pray that God will bless the local PAOC churches that are assisting people with food and clean-up. Pray also that many people will have opportunities to hear and receive the gospel in the aftermath of this event.

Join the upcoming “Rise Up Canada” interdenominational event on October 6, which is being hosted at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Ottawa, Ontario. Participants will come together for seven hours of fasting and prayer, and the event will be live streamed at Pray for the event itself, that people will be encouraged in their prayer lives through their time together, as they fast and pray for a Holy Spirit awakening upon all Canadians. Pray that they will also be inspired as they pray for federal, provincial and municipal leaders, and that the Lord’s kingdom would be advanced throughout our communities and our nation.

Pray for everyone attending the Pastors’ Prayer Gathering in Ladner, B.C., on October 4. May God uplift and encourage them as they worship and pray together, and have fellowship with one another and with Him. Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to them and give them a renewed vision on how to reach their communities for Christ.
