PAOC Prayer - Your Update for the Week of September 3, 2018

Re-revised PAOC Prayer Banner

PAOC Prayer is a weekly communication of prayer requests sent from The PAOC International Office in Mississauga, Ont. To download a PDF version of PAOC Prayer, please click here.

Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

CANADA

This fall, more than 1,500,000 young adults are enrolled in a Canadian college or university. Please pray that the hearts of students and leaders would be softened and opened to the gospel, and that believers on campus will be granted the boldness they need to share it with those who have never heard it. Pray that those who were raised in Christian families will not wander away from the foundation of faith in their lives. Pray also for meaningful connections to be made between Christian leaders and university/college administrators, and between mentors and students engaged in campus ministry throughout Canada, including those serving with the PAOC SERVE Campus Network.

MYANMAR

Nearly 700,000 Rohingya refugees have fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh since August 2017 due to extreme violence, in what is being called the world’s fastest growing refugee crisis. Homes and fields have been set on fire, family members have been killed and the intensity of the crisis continues. Over 1,400 children have arrived without adult supervision after witnessing the deaths of their parents and loved ones. Pray that God will protect, comfort and grant them permanent shelter. Pray that ERDO, as they work with their local partner, Bishop Philip Adhikary and The Pentecostal Assemblies of Bangladesh (PAOB), will continue to reach refugees with emergency food and other items to help them survive in the coming weeks and months.

DISTRICT CAMPS

Pray for God’s continued encouragement for everyone who attended camps across Canada this summer. Pray that the great memories people have will continue to be inspiring and motivating in their everyday lives. Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to give them a renewed vision on how to reach their communities for Christ. Pray that people will speak boldly to their family members and friends about the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus. Pray that any seeds that were planted in their hearts will find fertile soil, and that their lives and their families’ lives will be impacted for eternity.

Gary and Beverley Laing

CAMBODIA

Pray that God will bless, encourage and strengthen Gary and Beverley as they work with and minister to the people around them. Pray for wisdom, anointing and strategy for the church plant they launched in 2017. Pray also that the Impact School of Missions will be a place of growth for students and a conduit for future global workers.
