Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

Please pray for the people of Ontario, British Columbia and California where several hundred wildfires are causing massive destruction. Many people have been evacuated so far, and specifically in California and British Columbia, some buildings, including houses, have been destroyed. Pray that God will pour rain upon the areas so that the fires will be brought under control and that He will protect, strengthen and encourage the firefighters and first responders. Pray also that God will comfort the people in the affected areas who may have lost their homes or loved ones and are facing an uncertain future, and that He will guide and provide for evacuated residents.

Pray for the youth and leaders who will be attending Calibrate 2018, the Youth Camp at Ottawa Valley Pentecostal Camp in Cobden, Ontario, from August 16 to 19. May they have powerful encounters with God, engage in passionate worship and experience life-changing teaching sessions. Pray that God will prompt many youth to attend, and that He will remove any obstacles to their attendance. Pray that He will prepare their hearts to receive all that He wants to accomplish during this week. Pray that many seeds will be planted in their hearts and that their lives and their families’ lives will be impacted for eternity. Pray also for the speaker and musical worship team as they prepare for their time together.

John & Ruth Kerr

Pray that God will bless, encourage and strengthen John and Ruth as they work with and minister to the people around them at Trans-Africa Christian University (TACU). May TACU continue to be sustained and strengthened in its spirituality and training effectiveness. Pray that peace and divine favour would prevail in Zambia, and that the scourge of poverty might be lifted, providing all Zambians with a future and a hope. Pray that the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Zambia (PAOGZ) would remain a strong force for the gospel. Pray also for John and Ruth’s ongoing health and protection as they travel.
