Week of July 3, 2017
SRI LANKA
Please pray for the people of Sri Lanka who are suffering from a major Dengue fever outbreak which has been attributed to 225 deaths so far, with 76,000 people being infected. Pray for God’s healing touch on those infected and His comfort for those who have lost loved ones. Pray also for God’s protection, strength and comfort over our global workers and people in the affected areas. Pray also that God will provide wisdom for the doctors and officials who are attempting to stop the spread of this deadly disease.
CHINA
More than 11 million people throughout 11 provinces in southern China have been affected by floods, landslides and hailstorms, following very heavy rain over the past few days. At least 56 people have been killed so far, with another 22 being reported as missing. Heavy rains have flooded towns, cut off power and halted traffic with flights being cancelled or delayed at several airports. Pray that God will comfort, encourage and strengthen people who are mourning the loss of loved ones and those facing the loss or damage of their homes. Pray that He will guide cleanup efforts, that aid supplies will get to where they are needed most, and that there will be opportunities for the gospel to be shared.
LEBANON
A devastating fire in Lebanon destroyed most of a camp on Sunday that was home to 102 Syrian refugee families. Pray that God will comfort the friends and family of the child that was killed by the fire and that He will put His healing touch upon the two people who are currently in critical condition. Pray also that God will comfort and provide for all of the families that were affected who lost their homes, possessions, etc.
Rodney & Kaja Corcoran
ESTONIA
Pray for Rodney and Kaja as they minister to the people around them and raise their four children. Pray that God will bless and guide the leaders who are entering the leadership school. Pray that many new church plants will be planned across Estonia which will have a major impact throughout the country. Pray also for the leadership development that is happening with other European partners.
