Week of June 19, 2017

ERDO

Praise God that last week the ERDO ChildCARE Plus program reached an important milestone of 8,000 children sponsored. Pray for all of the children who are benefiting from education, improved nutrition and spiritual nurture. Pray also that more people would step forward to support the children who are not yet sponsored.

 

BANGLADESH

At least 163 people were killed last week by landslides caused by ongoing monsoon rains, which also destroyed hundreds of homes. Pray that God will comfort, encourage and strengthen people who are mourning the loss of loved ones and those facing the loss or damage of their homes. Pray that He will guide cleanup efforts, that aid supplies will get to where they are needed most, and that there will be opportunities for the gospel to be shared. Pray also that God will encourage and guide the PAOC global workers who reside and minister there.

 

SUMMER CAMPS & VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLS

Please pray for the camps and vacation Bible schools being offered across Canada this summer. Pray that many people will encounter God in a new, fresh and loving way and decide to follow Jesus. Pray that all of the staff and volunteers will be encouraged and strengthened. Pray also for the health, safety and protection of everyone involved.

 

Felix and Cecilia (Paluch) Chiriseri

SOUTH AFRICA

Pray that God will bless Felix and Cecelia with wisdom and strength as they carry out their responsibilities to fulfil their vision of what God wants them to accomplish. Pray that they will have compassion on those to whom they are ministering. Pray also for God’s favour, both in Canada and in South Africa, for many lives and communities to be transformed by the gospel.
