Week of MAY 22, 2017
A suicide bomber set off an explosion in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 people and injuring 59 people on Monday (May 22). Pray for God’s comfort for the families and friends of those killed or seriously injured and for physical and emotional healing for survivors. Pray that God will move in the hearts and lives of all those involved in planning the attack so that they turn from darkness to the light of Christ. Pray also for wisdom for government authorities seeking to prevent future attacks.
Pray that the students J and C minister to on the university campus would be receptive to the gospel message. Pray also that open doors will continue to impact the community and that more workers will be called to assist in the region.
VILLAGE OF HOPE – ZIMBABWE
Please pray for Amina Zowa, field administrator at the Village of Hope in Zimbabwe, who has been experiencing severe pain in her back. Pray for God’s healing upon Amina and that the physiotherapy she is currently taking will be enough to fix the problem so that surgery will not be required.
CANADA – ALBERTA, ONTARIO & BRITISH COLUMBIA
Please pray for all of the youth who attended the youth conferences this past weekend (Overflow in Waterloo, Ontario; Launch Uprising in Oshawa, Ontario; Historymaker in Chilliwack, British Columbia; YC Alberta in Red Deer, Alberta). Pray that all of the seeds that were planted in the young people’s lives will find fertile soil. Pray that their lives will be radically changed by what they heard and saw about Christ and God’s Word. Pray also that they will speak boldly to their family and friends about God’s love.
