Week of MAY 8, 2017
CANADA – MARITIMES AND ALBERTA & NORTHWEST TERRITORIES
Pray for the Maritimes and Alberta & Northwest Territories Conferences taking place this week in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, and Calgary, Alberta. Pray that leaders will be encouraged and receive clear direction from the Lord as they worship God, pray together and share ideas with each other on reaching their communities for Christ. Pray also for safe travel for everyone attending.
CANADA – QUEBEC, ONTARIO, NEW BRUNSWICK & BRITISH COLUMBIA
Pray for the people impacted by flooding that has occurred in several provinces, including Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and British Columbia, over the past week. Some municipalities have declared states of emergency and ordered homeowners to leave their properties. Pray that the waters will recede so no further damage can be done. Pray that God will strengthen people in the affected areas as they work to stop the flooding from their homes and businesses, and will help rescuers to locate missing persons. Pray also that many people will have opportunities to hear and receive the gospel in the aftermath of these events.
NIGERIA
Praise God for the release of 82 schoolgirls on Saturday in exchange for the Nigerian government’s release of several prisoners. The girls were originally kidnapped in April 2014 by extremists. Pray that God will open the way for the girls and their families to be cared for and healed spiritually and emotionally. Pray for the speedy and safe return of the 113 girls who remain unaccounted for.
David & Connie Buzikievich
TANZANIA
Pray for David and Connie, who have transitioned to Tanzania after ministering in Kenya for several years. They are assisting the Pamoja team, under the leadership of fellow global workers, Jeremy and Christine Feser. Pray for their health and safety as they use their experience to minister and assist the Pamoja ministry. Pray also that God will bless and guide them with wisdom in responding to needs as they arise.
