Week of MAY 1, 2017

Pray for the people impacted by storms that caused massive destruction in several states this past weekend. Strong winds, hail and isolated tornadoes killed at least 16 people. Pray that God will comfort those in the affected areas, whether they have been injured, lost family and friends or lost their homes. Pray that many people will have opportunities to hear and receive the gospel in the aftermath of these events. Pray also that God will help the rescue workers and guide residents as they begin to rebuild.

Pray for the Saskatchewan and Eastern Ontario & Nunavut District Conferences taking place this week in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and Huntsville, Ontario. Pray that leaders will be encouraged and receive clear direction from the Lord as they worship God, pray together and share ideas with each other on reaching their communities for Christ. Pray also for safe travel for everyone attending.

Marilyn Bush

Pray for God's enablement as teachers, including Marilyn, help students learn God’s Word through the Transformational Church Leaders (TCL) Development Program. Pray that the program will become more extensive and that God will guide the decisions that need to be made about its growth. Pray also for the spiritual transformation and equipping ministry of TCL. Pray also for Marilyn’s health, safety and encouragement as she ministers to the people around her.

Please continue to pray for the people of Fort McMurray and surrounding areas as they acknowledge the one-year anniversary of the wildfires that caused massive destruction. More than 80,000 people were evacuated and approximately 2,400 homes were damaged or destroyed. There are still social and political problems in the region as a result of the disaster. Pray that God will comfort and encourage those who need emotional healing, and bless the ministry of churches so that the gospel will spread and change people’s lives. Pray also that God will provide the leaders of Alberta with wisdom and guidance on how to continue rebuilding this area.
