Missions Hotline - Requests for the Week of April 17, 2017

Week oF APRIL 17, 2017

David Burke

CANADA

Please pray that David will be encouraged and physically, emotionally and spiritually strengthened as he continues to guide LifeLine, a campus ministry at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. Pray that many more students would get involved with LifeLine and that their hearts and minds will be opened to the message of the gospel. Pray also that God will prepare more student leaders who will be salt and light on the Ryerson campus.

SYRIA

A bomb exploded on Saturday (April 15) where hundreds of evacuated Syrians were gathered, killing 126 people, including 68 children. Pray for God’s comfort for the families and friends of those killed or seriously injured and for physical and emotional healing for survivors. Pray that God will move in the hearts and lives of all those involved in planning this attack so that they turn from darkness to the light of Christ. Pray also for peace to be achieved throughout this nation.

EASTER

Please pray for the many visitors who attended Good Friday and Easter Sunday services at churches worldwide this past weekend. Pray that God will use the messages they heard to draw those people close to Himself and give them a deep desire to learn more about and follow Jesus. Pray also that God will strengthen and guide the churches as they follow up with these visitors in the weeks ahead.

SOUTHEAST ASIA

Please pray that peace will reign throughout this area as tensions have risen between the U.S. and North Korea. Pray that world leaders will all work together to overcome their differences and make decisions in the best interests of their citizens. Pray also that many hearts and lives will be reached with the love of Christ as the gospel is proclaimed throughout countries in this region.
