Week of January 23, 2017

Ilya & Janet Bantseev

SIBERIA

“During the holidays, we rented two buses in order to share the meaning of Christmas with passengers. As people entered, they were told the fare was paid for. Two teams of young people sang Christmas songs, and shared testimonies and the plan of salvation with passengers along with tracts and candy. People were so touched by the songs and message that they cried when they heard how much God loves them and wants to forgive their sins. Dozens of people prayed to receive Christ.”

Please pray that God will help those who made decisions to follow Christ to grow in their faith. Pray also for Ilya and Janet as they continue to minister to people in Siberia.

Kirsten Arding

UNITED KINGDOM

As part of Kirsten's ministry, she is co-ordinating short-term mission trips with Mission: Europe, part of the NLI Network. This involves mobilizing, leading and organizing teams of people from the UK, Canada and the US into Eastern Europe. This ministry allows her to live out the Great Commission and make an impact in the UK, across Europe and the world. Please pray for the safety and witness of the mission teams coming into Europe and that they will have tremendous impact. Pray also for Kirsten as she serves and ministers to the people around her.

Sheldon & Anna Armitage

SLOVAKIA

Sheldon and Anna have served in Europe since 2002 and currently live in Bratislava, Slovakia, with their three young girls. They pastor the international congregation in this city. Sheldon also teaches at the national Bible college (Gateway College) in Nitra, Slovakia, where he is training and preparing a new generation of spiritual leaders. Sheldon and Anna are members of the core team for the European Freedom Network, an organization confronting human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Please pray for the growth of the international church in Bratislava. Pray for the health and safety for the Armitage family. Pray also for Sheldon and Anna’s daughters who are currently attending a school in Canada while the family is on home assignment until July.
