CHRISTMAS

During this Christmas season, let’s pray that more Christians will take the time to deepen their understanding of the season of advent, and embrace its full meaning so that Christ becomes the focus of our activities. Ask God to help Christians everywhere to be responsive to opportunities to share the truth about Christ and the meaning of advent with our neighbours, friends and families. Pray that PAOC churches will be effective in sharing the message of Christ’s birth, life, death and resurrection, so that many hearts and lives will be changed over the next few days. Pray also that Christians will recognize thoughtful ways to express God’s love to those without hope during this season and always.

 

ALBERTA & NORTHWEST TERRITORIES DISTRICT

Pray for the youth pastors and volunteer teams attending the Elements Leader’s Retreat at Sunnyside Christian Retreat Centre in Sylvan Lake, Alberta, from January 4 to 6, 2019. May they be equipped, encouraged and empowered as their leadership skills are developed and sharpened. Ask God to inspire and encourage them as they connect with one another and with Him. May God use what they learn to help them grow and partner with Jesus to make an even greater kingdom impact in the lives of youth. Pray also for the speakers and musical worship team as they prepare for their time together.

 

Dean & Ruth Milley

PERU

Pray that God will bless and guide Dean and Ruth in their ministries. Pray that He will provide wisdom and the Holy Spirit's divine leading as they serve the people around them. Pray also for God’s protection, continued provision with the feeding program, and for the completion of the outreach centre in Pucusana.
