Kevin Johnson — Prayer Gathering

Kevin Johnson has served as district superintendent of the Maritime District since 2011. With a heart for spiritual renewal, he is committed to equipping pastors and leaders to walk in the freedom of Christ and lead from a place of spiritual vibrancy to achieve missional effectiveness. 

Before stepping into his current role, Kevin pastored in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he cultivated a passion for discipleship and community impact. He has also been a business owner and entrepreneur with interests in organizational health, change management, and leadership development. His passion is to develop healthy leaders and advance Spirit-empowered ministry. 

Kevin is married to Annemarie (née Manfreda), and they have five incredible adult children. Beyond ministry, he enjoys woodworking and writing.

Craig Burton — Memoriam Time

Craig was elected general secretary treasurer of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada in May 2022 at the General Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He graduated from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario in 1984 and worked at Canada Permanent Trust Company and Canada Trust. He graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in 1989. 

Craig served as the district superintendent of the Eastern Ontario and Nunavut District for 17 years, beginning in 2005. He served as youth and assistant pastor at Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church from 1987 to 1991, young adults pastor, outreach pastor and then church administrator at Agincourt Pentecostal Church from 1991 to 1995, then lead pastor at Malvern Christian Assembly from 1995 to 2005 before being elected district superintendent.  

Pastor Craig has a desire to see ministers, churches and leaders strengthened and encouraged. He is committed to establishing strong and meaningful relationships among credential holders and believes that the shared values of our cooperative fellowship provide significant opportunities for missional advancement and kingdom purposes to be achieved during these challenging days. Craig and his wife, Wendy, live in Port Hope, Ontario.

Dave Wells – Communion and Message

Dave Wells has served as general superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) since May 2008. He was appointed general superintendent at General Conference 2008. The PAOC has over 1,200 affiliated churches, satellites and church plants, 3,700 credentialed ministers and a constituency of close to 270,000 people across Canada. Internationally, the PAOC has close to 300 global workers serving in more than 50 nations. 

Dave serves as the vice-chair of the Pentecostal World Fellowship, President of the Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of North America and on the executive of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship. He served on the board of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada from 1999-2013 and served as chair of that board from 2007-2013. 

Dave completed his undergraduate studies in theology at Vanguard College in Edmonton, Alberta, and has a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Briercrest Seminary, Saskatchewan. In May 2013, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by McMaster Divinity College and in April 2014, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by Briercrest College and Seminary. 

Dave previously served as the district superintendent of the BC/Yukon District from 2001-2008, and as senior associate pastor at Broadway Church in Vancouver, BC from 1994 to 1999, as well as pastoring in Hamilton, Ontario, Calgary, Alberta, and Red Deer, Alberta. He has also held district and national departmental leadership roles. 

Dave has served as a Canadian chaplain at six Olympic Games, two Pan Am Games, and six Commonwealth Games. He chaired or served on the multi-faith committees which organized chaplaincy at Olympic and Paralympic Games, Pan Am and Parapan Am Games and the Invictus Games Toronto 2017. He has also served on the executive boards that coordinated the Christian community for service at the Vancouver 2010 and Toronto 2015 Games. In 2025, he was awarded the King Charles Coronation Medal and was cited as a respected leader who interacts and serves people of multiple faiths and backgrounds with equal dignity and care, and as one who provides a consistent voice opposed to racism and faith-based animosity. 

Dave and his wife, Susan, live in Burlington, Ontario. They have three children—Shannon (Eric), Jonathan (Melissa) and Jordan (Justine)—and eight grandchildren, one of whom is in heaven.

Murray Cornelius

Murray Cornelius was re-elected at General Conference 2022 to the position of executive director for Mission Global.   Murray was first elected to serve as the executive director for International Missions (previously titled as the assistant superintendent for International Missions, now Mission Global) at General Conference 2006. 

Murray graduated from Carleton University with a degree in biology in 1979 and from Regent College in 1982 with a Master’s degree in Christian studies.  In 1987, he and his wife Cindy moved to Harare, Zimbabwe to pastor Upper Room Fellowship.  Murray served as academic dean of Trans Africa Theological College in Kitwe, Zambia from 1992 to 1994, and was appointed Southern Africa Regional Director for PAOC in 1995.  While serving in this role, he and Cindy planted and pastored Hope Community Church and Jubilee Christian Centre in Zimbabwe.  He was an adjunct faculty member at Pan Africa Christian College, Harare, equipping pastors to serve in the region.  Responding to the needs of children in Africa, Murray and Cindy were instrumental in the establishment of the first Village of Hope in Kitwe, Zambia, the second in Harare, Zimbabwe, and the third location in Lilongwe, Malawi, and Murray continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board for VOH Africa Society. 

As executive director of Mission Global, Murray champions God’s mission to the world in the Canadian church, he oversees the work of nearly 300 Global Workers in 75 countries, and he engages with national leaders from many countries, working to see the church grow in number and influence.  He also serves as chairman of the board for ERDO (Emergency Relief and Development Overseas), ensuring the mission of the PAOC is holistic and integral. 

They now live in Canada, where Murray's passion and strategic focus is on reaching the lost wherever they are, developing leaders and missionaries and caring for the poor and oppressed.

Ben Narayanan

Pastor Ben Narayanan serves as Lead Pastor of Avant Life Church alongside his wife, Emma. Known for his bold and innovative approach to ministry, Ben is passionate about communicating the message of Christ with clarity, creativity, and courage. He is committed to inspiring people to live fully for God while raising leaders who can carry the church’s vision forward. 

Ben and Emma have been married since 2009 and are parents to three children Levi, Alice, and Eden. In 2017, they sensed a clear call from God to plant a life-giving church in Canada. Avant Life Church launched in North Vancouver in September 2018, expanded to Squamish and Surrey in 2021, and most recently planted a location in downtown Toronto in fall 2025. 

Ben is gifted in raising leaders, pioneering kingdom works, gospel hospitality, as well as consistently encouraging emerging leaders to step confidently into their God-given calling with faith, spiritual authority, and humble surrender to God.

Emma Narayanan

Emma was born and raised in Australia in a Christian family. After serving on staff at a church as an event manager, worship, and youth and young adults pastor, Emma and her husband, Ben, heard the clear call of God to plant a life-giving church in Vancouver, B.C. 

In 2017, they moved from Australia to Canada to pioneer Avant Life Church, which launched in North Vancouver in September 2018. In September 2021, they planted two more Avant Life Church locations in Squamish and Surrey. They have most recently begun the new work of planting a church in the downtown core of Toronto, Ontario  

Emma is passionate about leadership development, church planting, worship ministry and teaching. She is also passionate about encouraging leaders to step into the calling they have received with bold faith, spiritual authority and humble surrender to God. Emma also presently serves on the PAOC General Executive. 

Emma has been happily married to her husband, Ben, since 2009, and they have a son and two daughters together.

Kaarina Hsieh

Rev. Kaarina Hsieh has served actively in pastoral ministries for over 30 years in a variety of contexts. For nearly 18 years, she served on faculty and is the former dean of students at Tyndale Seminary. There she gave oversight to student development and chapel ministries. Her particular areas of teaching foci at the Seminary were in Youth and Family Ministries, Gospel, Church and Culture and in areas of spiritual formation. She served as interim academic dean for Masters College during their transition to becoming MCS-Horizon and continues to serve as adjunct faculty for Tyndale Seminary and Masters Seminary. 

Since 2012, Kaarina has served as lead pastor of Parkway Forest Community Church located in North York (Toronto). Parkway Forest Community Church is a dynamic, multi-cultural, age and socio-economically diverse church that is always seeking to build bridges into the community, finding ways to love the city to Jesus. Kaarina is delighted to serve on the General Executive of the PAOC and is a committed and active member of our Fellowship. She also serves as a director on the Board of Directors for Youth Unlimited GTA where she continues to champion the spiritual growth and health of youth and their families to greater wholeness in Christ. 

Kaarina and her husband Wayne live in, love and serve the community they’ve been called to with great joy, gratitude for the call and a deep sense of God’s kingdom purposes.

Kyvenz Amédée

Kyvenz Amédée is the assistant to the superintendent for the Quebec District of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. He is passionate about communicating God’s Word in ways that inspire people from all walks of life — believers and non-believers alike. Before joining the district, he served for nine years as lead pastor of Gospelvie Church in Montreal and seven years with the Canadian Bible Society, where he oversaw Bible engagement and fundraising initiatives across francophone Canada. He holds a Master’s in Theology from Laval University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Contemporary Religious Studies at the University of Sherbrooke. 

He is married to Madglara, and together they have three children.
