Family Discipleship Director/Pastor

Ministry Outcome: Lead a healthy family and children’s ministry that supports parents in the discipleship of their kids ages 0-11 years old, and replicates ministry leaders that facilitate families to know and love Jesus more every year. Specific Responsibilities • Work with the lead and associate pastors to implement a discipleship process among families that includes weekly services, family small groups and events. • Support parents to become godly parents that operate as the primary disciplers of their children. • Oversee the children’s ministry department, while building positive relationships with parents • Recruit and train serve teams within the nursery, Pre-K and Kids Ministry. • Work alongside other ministry leaders to support evangelism and outreach initiatives. This could include VBS, No School Friday events etc. • Support new parents visiting families with newborns and connecting parents to other ministries and resources in the church. • Provide parenting supports to families in our church and wider community. • Collaborate with other groups that are adjacent to kids’ ministry including Merge Youth. Your personal spiritual growth and development is a top responsibility as ministry leader at CLCC. Your spiritual foundation and leadership development will directly affect your life, family and ministry. That is why we ask all our pastoral staff to: 1. Maintain or work towards a PAOC credential 2. Continue in leadership coaching with a District Cohort Group with the ABNWT 3. Attend Pastors Gathering and other District events that pertain to your effectiveness in ministry Salary Range 24,000 - 33,280

The individual overseeing Family Discipleship is someone who loves children and equipping and resourcing parents within the culture and values of Cold Lake Community Church. This position is not about simply fulfilling the functions of kid’s ministry but prioritizing the spiritual maturity of the congregation and development of leaders within the Children and Family Ministry. Job title could be Director or Pastor based on the candidate’s education and/or experience. - Theological and biblical literacy in alignment with POAC Statement of Essential Truths - Love for Jesus and the local church - Organizational and administrative skills - Confident and good communicator - Ability to recruit, train and empower volunteers - Enjoy working with children and parents

Diploma or Degree in Theology, pastoral studies or children's ministry would be an asset Experience teaching and leading teams an asset
