Job Description

This position provides coordination, communication and marketing expertise to the Gospel Chapel team. Specifically, this position supports departmental initiatives by increasing community awareness, providing marketing and promotional support, coordinating and managing website content, and coordinating cross departmental and sectional initiatives related to event scheduling. Marketing and Communications : • Meet with ministry leaders to create communications plans for events • Help identify ministry goals to clearly target advertising Graphic Design and Branding • Create advertising materials based on the needs outlined in the communication plans built in partnership with ministry leaders • Develop strong brand recognition through implementing, teaching and monitoring standards • Design advertising collateral including print materials (posters, flyers, signage, banners, booklets, etc.) and digital media (web graphics, social media graphics, power point slides, etc.) Social Media Development • Write, schedule and post relevant content across social media platforms • Design engaging images and video to post to each platform • Create a social media brand guideline and train group administers • Monitor content of associated group pages to ensure relevancy and brand standards are maintained • Create events and boost posts as needed • Respond to notifications and inbox messages within work hours Website Maintenance • Create engaging web graphics to coincide with other event collateral • Maintain and update the events calendar • Drive traffic to the website through social media and print promotions • Manage contracts and renewals of all hosting, domain and certificate services related to Gospel Chapel websites

Experience Required

• Post-secondary education specializing in marketing and communications and/or graphic design. Experience is an asset, but not essential. • A passion for doing work that creates positive change in the world. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to engage, empathize and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people. • The confidence to make judgment calls regarding logistics and operations • Experience with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and website Content Management Systems (Sharefaith, Wordpress) • Solid understanding of communication and marketing principles • Proven ability to work well both independently and in a team environment while managing multiple projects
