Re-revised PAOC Prayer Banner

PAOC Prayer is a weekly communication of prayer requests sent from The PAOC International Office in Mississauga, Ont. To download a PDF version of PAOC Prayer, please click here.

Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

SRI LANKA

We stand together in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka and pray for great comfort to the nation at this time of national tragedy. We are thankful that our own global worker families are all safe, but pray for those from the Catholic community and from Zion Pentecostal Church who are suffering loss and injury. The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Sri Lanka, Rev. Michael Dissanayake, and the leaders from the Pentecostal Assemblies of Sri Lanka are asking us to stand with them in prayer. The Pentecostal church in the East of the country is known to those who have worked with the PAOC in Sri Lanka. There are families who lost their children. We ask you all to pray for peace and calm, and for the government to have wisdom in handling the situation. Pray also for the church to be united in tragedy, for the grieving families, and for Christians to have courage and hope.

MANITOBA & NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO DISTRICT

The Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario District Conference is taking place this week (April 23 to 25) at the International Worship Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. May the leaders attending be encouraged and receive clear direction from the Lord as they worship Him, pray together and share ideas with each other on reaching their communities for Christ. Pray also for safe travel for everyone attending.

SASKATCHEWAN DISTRICT

Pray for the youth who will be attending “Vibe,” the conference being held at Elim Church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan April 26 and 27. May they have opportunities to connect with one another, build relationships, and experience life-changing moments with Jesus Christ. May they also learn about God’s love for them and how to deepen their faith throughout the weekend, and find their place in God’s mission in Canada and the world.

EASTERN ONTARIO & NUNAVUT DISTRICT

The Spark Junior High Convention titled “Anchor” is taking place this upcoming weekend (April 26 to 27) at Kingston Gospel Temple in Kingston, Ontario. Pray that the youth attending will have powerful encounters with God, engage in passionate worship and experience life-changing teaching sessions. Pray that God will prompt many youth to attend, and that He will remove any obstacles to their attendance. Pray that many seeds will be planted in these young people’s hearts and that their lives and their families’ lives will be impacted for eternity. Pray also for the speaker and musical worship team as they prepare for their time together.
