Week oF APRIL 3, 2017

Paul & Paula Bradbury

SENEGAL

Please pray for the families and the students at Dakar Academy while they are separated from one another. Pray that God will bless and guide Paul and Paula as they help neighbours with education, housing and medical needs. Pray for their health and safety as they minister. Pray also for continued political stability in Senegal with freedom to proclaim the gospel.

COLOMBIA

Pray that God will comfort everyone affected by the flooding which struck the city of Mocoa on Friday (March 31). Following heavy rain, water, mud and debris swept through the city while most people were asleep, destroying houses, tearing down trees and washing vehicles away. The flooding also knocked out power in half of the province where Mocoa is located, and destroyed the area's fresh water network, creating dangerous and unsanitary conditions. Two hundred and seventy-three people, including more than 40 children, were killed. Two hundred people were injured while another 200 are unaccounted for. Pray that God will guide the rescue teams as they search for victims and that aid supplies will get to where they are needed.

RUSSIA

An explosion in St. Petersburg ripped through a subway train, killing 14 people and injuring nearly 50 people on Monday (April 3). Another bomb was located and deactivated at another subway station. The entire subway system, which serves two million riders a day, was shut down and evacuated. Pray for God’s comfort for the families and friends of those killed or seriously injured and for physical and emotional healing for survivors. Pray that God will move in the hearts and lives of all those involved in planning the attack so that they turn from darkness to the light of Christ. Pray also for wisdom for government authorities seeking to prevent future attacks.
