Every Day Faith - Praying for Our Nation in July
“Over and over again, I have been encouraged by stories from across the PAOC of prayer and Scripture engagement, missional initiatives, sacrificial service and the working of God’s Spirit in worship services and within the community. We are a people who by and large do not rest easy when we are not growing in our life in Christ or thriving in His mission.”
Here’s a snapshot of how we’re praying this month. Visit www.everydayfaith.ca to stay tuned to each month's theme and for regularly blog posts that can encourage you on your faith journey.
July 2016 (Missional Vitality)
For God's glory to be revealed in our nation
- That we would be thankful and appreciative of God’s kindness to our nation—and that He will continue to bless Canada with provision, protection and direction.
- For wisdom, understanding, integrity and strength for our government leaders and judges at all levels—federal, provincial, and municipal.
- That God will strengthen the faith of Christ-followers throughout Canada, and grant them boldness to share the gospel in word and deed wherever He has placed them.
- That evangelical individuals and organizations will find favour as they seek opportunities to be godly influences in cities and communities across Canada.
Passages To Ponder

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
1 Timothy 2:1-3
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior…”
Isaiah 52:7
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’”
Matthew 10:16
“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”
